New Year Space Party 2011

Twas a week before New Year, when we decided at last

To celebrate a fun Space Invasion Party of the first class.

Not much time was left to get ready,

So we started with making proper setting;

Inscriptions were made, projector was borrowed

A robot installed for a party tomorrow.

Plus downloaded some pictures and sounds,

To make the party fun and renowned.

When aliens were landing at our cosmodom,

It sounded almost like a nuclear bomb.

We went to recharge out batteries first,

And using champagne fuel quenched our thirst.

When the midnight was struck by the clock on TV,

We knew it was time to be around Christmas tree.

Then “Shrek” with the friends came into sight,

And wished us Smelly Christmas and a gross night.

Games started and were quite exciting,

Drawing a Rudolf, predictions and miming;

Plasticine heroes and mandarine bobbing,

A tale of turnip and a Twister provoking.

Seeing that batteries were low,

We finally let the aliens go.  

But I heard them exclaim, ere they flew out of sight,

"Spacey New Year to all, and to all a cosmic-night."
